Der Jenischpark ist Hamburgs historisch bedeutendster Landschaftsgarten. Mit seinen heutigen Größe von 42 Hektar ist der 1828 von Senator Martin Johann Jenisch erworbene Besitz zwar nur noch ein Bruchteil eines älteren Gutes, doch immer noch beeindruckend durch die feine Modellierung seiner Wiesen, seiner alten Baumriesen und überraschender Ausstattung aus der Zeit des „sentimentalen Stils“. Die Führung lässt das ursprüngliche Konzept als landwirtschaftliches Mustergut um 1800 erlebbar werden. Wir versenken uns in die ästhetische Komposition dieser „ornamented farm“ und die in der Anlage und in der Person ihres Schöpfers Caspar Voght enthaltenen Widersprüche.
